Glass Art

The Cumming Recreation Department is pleased to announce our new glass art classes and workshops. These unusual and very interesting programs will be led by Paula Chambers. Paula comes with years of experience in glass art. Several classes and a workshop are offered for ornaments. Check out the programs below. Great gifts for any occasion. All classes and workshops are held at the Cumming Recreation Department.

The Great Glass Expedition I                                          Sept. 10 - Oct. 1, Jan. 7 - Jan. 21, and  Mar. 4 - Mar. 25

Explore the wonders of science and art using glass as the medium. Projects will include a glass kilnformed wind chime, a piece of “Yard Art”, a stepping stone, and other projects as time allows.

The Glass Expedition    II                            3 Sessions - Oct. 8 - 29, Feb. 4 - 18, Apr. 15 - May 6

Continue exploring the science and art using glass as the medium. Projects include a fused glass picture frame, painting on glass with glass, combining metals with glass and other projects as time allows.

Glass Ornaments, Monday November 5th

Make a glass ornament using pre-cut pieces of glass that can be hung as a Holiday ornament or a window sun catcher.

Time: 4:30 —7:30 pm
Cost: $37.00 (Plus $15 materials fee)
